Transparency matters. Here's exactly how WristWorth calculates market estimates for your collection.
We combine a curated reference database of 1,800+ watches across 75+ brands with brand-specific market multipliers, Chrono24-verified pricing data, and condition adjustments to generate confidence-scored Fair Value Bands. Our estimates are directional β not appraisals. For insurance or sale purposes, we recommend cross-referencing with recent sold listings on eBay and Chrono24.
1,800+ watches across 75+ brands with MSRP, specs, and curated market estimates. 20+ key references verified against live Chrono24 asking prices (updated quarterly). We continuously expand this dataset.
When a specific reference isn't in our market estimates database, we apply brand-level appreciation/depreciation rates based on historical secondary market performance. For example, Rolex models typically trade at 1.1-1.5x MSRP, while Omega models trade at 0.6-0.9x.
For key references, we provide a 3-point range: Low (recent sales floor), Mid (typical transaction price), and High (premium/full-set sales). These are derived from secondary market observation across eBay completed listings and dealer asking prices.
Curated market data from Chrono24 asking prices and secondary market observation powers real-time Fair Value Bands per reference. Your portfolio values reflect current market conditions.
When you add a watch, we first attempt an exact match on reference number against our database. If found, we pull MSRP and known market estimate ranges.
If no exact match, we try partial reference matching (e.g., "126610" matches "126610LN" and "126610LV"). This catches variant dial colors and bracelet options.
If reference matching fails, we search by brand and model name. If a match is found in our reference database, we use that model's MSRP as a baseline.
As a final fallback, we apply brand-specific market multipliers to the MSRP. These are conservative estimates based on how each brand typically performs on the secondary market.
Enter a reference number or model name to see how our valuation pipeline works in real-time against the Vault database.
Toggle fields on/off to see how data completeness affects your valuation confidence. More data = higher confidence = tighter Fair Value Bands.
These multipliers represent the typical secondary market range relative to MSRP. Used when specific reference data is unavailable.
Every valuation includes a confidence score based on how much real market data backs it. This helps you understand how much to trust each estimate.
Fair Value Bands adjust based on the condition you specify for each watch. Our baseline assumes "Excellent" condition with box and papers.
Our estimates are not professional appraisals. They are data-informed directional indicators.
Condition, service history, provenance, box/papers, and market timing all affect real-world sale prices. Our estimates assume 'Excellent' condition with box and papers unless you specify otherwise.
Rare dial variants, limited editions, and vintage pieces may trade at significant premiums not captured by our reference data.
We recommend cross-referencing with recent eBay sold listings and Chrono24 asking prices before making buy/sell decisions.
For insurance purposes, consult a certified watch appraiser. Our insurance PDF export provides a data-rich starting point, not a certified valuation.
