About TAG Heuer

Edouard Heuer founded the company in 1860 with a focus on precision timing, and chronograph technology became the brand's DNA. The oscillating pinion (1887) and the Mikrograph (1/100th second accuracy, 1916) cemented Heuer's position in motorsport timing. Steve McQueen's Monaco in Le Mans (1971) created one of the most iconic watch-film associations in history. Today, TAG Heuer (acquired by LVMH in 1999) balances accessible luxury with genuine racing heritage. The Carrera and Monaco lines remain collector favorites, and vintage Heuer chronographs — especially Autavia and pre-TAG pieces — have become auction darlings.

Heritage

Invented the oscillating pinion for chronographs (1887). Steve McQueen wore the Monaco in Le Mans (1971). Official timing partner of Formula 1.
